An immersive VR trip on the high seas to watch GE Vernova’s Haliade-X offshore wind turbine in action... An exhibit showcasing how GE Aerospace is inventing the future of flight with emission-reducing technologies and how GE Vernova is electrifying and decarbonizing the world... A glimpse at how small modular nuclear reactors can help nations meet energy security goals. These are a few of the highlights on display this week in Dubai at COP28, the U.N. climate conference that GE’s Roger Martella believes will be “the most consequential COP since Paris.” Take a look inside.
SAF Takes Another Step Forward
Last week Dubai was the site of another milestone in the testing of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), this time aboard the world’s largest airliner. GE Aerospace’s Inspector Gadgets
Earlier this month, Aviation Week Network announced its coveted Laureate Awards, and GE Aerospace was named a winner in the MRO category for its advanced inspection technologies. These “AT Inspectors,” such as the Sensiworm soft robot (above), which climbs inside jet engines to provide service operators with an extra set of eyes and ears, are improving the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of inspections.
