SHANGHAI, November 3, 2010 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Ltd. (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a new Boeing 737-86N aircraft to Shanghai Airlines Company. The delivery comes from GECAS' existing order book with Boeing.
Earlier this year, China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai announced plans to merge, with Shanghai operating as a wholly-owned subsidiary. GECAS leases a total of 31 aircraft to both carriers.
