- New comprehensive software enhances GE's proven System 1* remote monitoring and diagnostic platform
- Secure and easily accessible dashboard monitors the health of critical equipment and instrumentation across an entire fleet of operations
- Advanced Analytics from GE PredictivityTM Industrial Internet Solutions, interpret vast amounts of performance and alarm data in real time
HOUSTON, TEXAS and MINDEN, NEV.---September 30, 2013---GE's (NYSE: GE) Measurement & Control business today introduced Bently Nevada System 1 Fleet Management, a web-based dashboard providing a single, secure access point for monitoring equipment and instrument health from the machine to fleet levels across industrial users. The comprehensive condition monitoring solution, which is part of GE PredictivityTM Industrial Internet Solutions, allows operators to effectively monitor each connected plant asset for an all-in-one view of operational health. The System 1 Fleet Management solution is being highlighted this week at Turbomachinery Symposium 2013 and will be commercially available later this year.
System 1 Fleet Management increases accessibility, usability and adds new capabilities to the System 1 suite. GE's patented condition monitoring software platform for real-time condition monitoring and event diagnostics enables increased equipment availability, reliability and reduced maintenance costs. System 1 Fleet Management applies Advanced Analytics, combining the power of physics-based analytics, predictive algorithms and deep domain expertise, to instrument and software alarms to help users quickly identify their equipment and instrument health issues. It connects to all System 1* Enterprises to produce summaries at the Fleet, Site, Train, and Machine levels, thereby allowing operators to efficiently and effectively focus resources.
"Plant personnel want to centralize their information experts and provide them the tools needed for a broader view of their assets," said Art Eunson, general manager for Bently Nevada, GE Measurement & Control, a GE Oil & Gas division. "With the increase in remote monitoring centers for data analysis and diagnostics, and other assets in remote locations, on-site support can be difficult. System 1 Fleet Management provides plants with the ability to consolidate, organize and present information to make informed business decisions faster."
The dashboard is part of a GE-wide program to bring a single user experience to GE customers. Businesses across GE, working with GE's Software Center of Excellence in San Ramon, CA., have worked together to design the dashboard so that it can be easily integrated with future GE software, hardware and service offerings as they are developed. With an intuitive user interface, the dashboard requires little training for use and maintenance.
