Manufacturer Comparison

About Manufacturer Comparison

The Manufacturer Comparison feature can be used to identify and evaluate better performing equipment manufacturers. You can compare multiple manufacturers or selected equipment models of a specific manufacturer. The Manufacturer Comparison feature helps you in making better, more informed decisions while purchasing an equipment. Equipment manufacturers are compared based on the performance of the equipment, indicated by the 15 asset performance metrics in Industrial Data Diagnostics. You can analyze the data for peers against that of your company to understand if the asset performance is different for your peers for an equipment from the same manufacturer. Using this analysis, you can identify opportunities for equipment improvements that can result in savings and improved productivity for the company.

Access the Manufacturer Comparison Page

Procedure

  1. Access Industrial Data Diagnostics.
  2. Select the Manufacturer Comparison tab.
The MANUFACTURER COMPARISON page appears, displaying the bubble chart for the manufacturers and the manufacturer comparison selection table.

Note: To compare manufacturers, you must select a minimum of one equipment type from a single equipment class in the Select Filters window. If an equipment type is not selected in the filters, or if multiple equipment classes are selected in the filters, a message appears, stating that you must select equipment types from a single class.

    Note:
    • In the Select Filters pane, you can select the Other Sites in Company option to compare the performance of a manufacturer with other sites in the company. If you select the Industry Peers option, the sites selected for comparison do not appear in the list of selected filters in the page since the comparison is not applicable in the Manufacturer Comparison page. Specify the site for which you want to compare data by selecting the value in the COMPARE box, and then specify whether you want to compare with industry peers or with other sites in your company, by selecting the corresponding value in the WITH box.
