Hundreds of leaders across the military, government, defense industry, and media gathered in Simi Valley, California, last weekend at the 10th annual Reagan National Defense Forum to discuss the current and future state of the U.S. military.
“Day to day, we’re right there with all of our military customers assuring readiness while we invest in next-generation platforms,” said GE chairman and CEO and GE Aerospace CEO Larry Culp.
Many years ago, Larry Culp was puzzled by Toyota. He couldn’t understand why the Japanese automaker allowed its competitors into its factories to witness the legendary Toyota Production System in action. The company risked giving away “the recipe for the secret sauce,” GE’s leader thought.
Dear fellow shareholder,
First, a sincere thank you for sharing your ideas and counsel over the last year. When I began as CEO, it was critical for me to listen, not just to replicate what’s worked for me elsewhere. Your feedback is playing an important role in our efforts to make GE a stronger, more valuable company.
