D-11 Steam Turbine will be Used to Convert Kallpa Site into Combined-Cycle Operation
LIMA, Peru--09 November 2010-- A GE (NYSE: GE) steam turbine will be used to convert the Kallpa Generacion power plant in Chilca, Peru into combined-cycle operation, significantly increasing both the efficiency and the output of the power production at the site. Located about 60 kilometers south of Lima, the Kallpa facility is the largest thermoelectric plant in Peru.
