GEH Technology Considered to Help Poland Generate Safe, Next-Generation Nuclear Energy
WILMINGTON, N.C.---March 5, 2010---GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (PGE), Poland's largest power company, announced today a new agreement to collaborate on Poland's initiative to build next-generation commercial nuclear power plants.

BAGHDAD, Iraq--Wednesday, February 17, 2010-- GE (NYSE:GE) today announced the signing of contracts totaling approximately US$200 million to supply power generation equipment and services for two independent power projects in the Kurdistan region of Northern Iraq. The two projects will help support the region's current and future power needs and the country's overall efforts to develop its energy infrastructure.
KANSAS CITY, MO.---Feb. 9, 2010---GE (NYSE: GE) was recently awarded a contract by Enel SpA to complete phase 6 of an 8-phase project at Enel Maritza East 3 (EME3) Thermal Power Plant in Bulgaria. During this phase, GE will convert two electrostatic precipitators (ESP) from tumbling hammer to GE's advanced top rap technology, helping to increase reliability of the unit, lower maintenance costs and achieve lower emissions. GE commenced work on the four units at this power station in 2003, in a phased approach, during the now completed rehabilitation project of the power plant.

New technology for Nigeria's rail system
Erie, Pennsylvania, USA and Lagos, Nigeria (February 5, 2010) The Nigerian Ministry of Transport and GE Transportation announced today that the Nigerian Railway Corporation has taken delivery of the first five C25 diesel locomotives -- introducing new technology to Nigeria's rail system. The locomotives will be used for both freight and passenger service. The remaining 20 locomotives will be delivered in the second half of 2010.
