Kenya among ten African countries to benefit from program
Nairobi, Kenya; October 17, 2008 - Kenya is among ten African countries that are set to benefit from General Electric's (GE) US$10 million worth of product, infrastructure and training plan to improve healthcare delivery services in Africa this year. Under the plan, GE has targeted to upgrade a total of 81 health facilities in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mali, and Senegal. The projects are at various stages of completion.

CT750 HDは米ゼネラル・エレクトリック（GE）の中央研究所における開発を含め、次世代マルチスライスCTの技術を集大成し製品化に成功した世界初のハイデフィニション・マルチスライスCTです。同装置は、GEが1989年に世界初となるマルチスライスCTを発売して以来、これまで各社が技術革新を競ってきたスライスの多列化の歴史に区切りをつけ、CT画像の原点に立ち返って、一から開発を積み重ねた次世代CTの技術「HD（ハイデフィニッション）CTテクノロジー」を結集したCTです。医療機関から最も高いニーズがある1スライスごとの分解能の飛躍的な向上を図り、臨床的にはこれまで困難であった不安定狭心症リスクの早期診断と的確な治療方法の選定や慢性閉塞性肺疾患の早期診断を可能とするなど、医療機関に新たな「確信」をもたらします。

中国，杭州 --- 2008年10月16日 ------ 一条全新的燃气内燃机组装线在位于杭州市的GE能源集团生产中心正式投入运营。作为GE能源集团中国本土化战略举措及其一贯提倡的"绿色创想"理念的延伸，GE能源集团杭州颜巴赫工厂不仅能满足亚洲市场对具有良好燃料适应性的颜巴赫燃气内燃机组日益增长的需求，为中国新能源建设提供先进示范，也将为亚洲特别是中国市场提供更快捷和满足个性化需求的特殊定制服务。同时，它还将是该地区客户的备品备件库，从而进一步提高GE颜巴赫在亚洲的备件及服务能力。
杭州颜巴赫组装线目前拥有50多名技术人员，大多经过在奥地利总部进行为期数月的专业生产技能培训和定期实践指导。该厂负责机器底座罩壳等焊接件、管路系统、 电缆接线及整个系统的组装工作。 2008年计划生产50台燃气内燃机，2009年计划完成150台。在运营初期，这条生产线将首先组装功率为1兆瓦的颜巴赫3型燃气内燃机，不久将扩展至颜巴赫全线产品。这条新组装线同时装备有先进的测试系统。 每台产品出厂前都经过严格检测，以确保全部机组的最佳运行性能。
