Neu-Isenburg, 20. August 2012 -- Seit Juni 2012 verstärkt Mario Schacht als Outdoor Sales Manager GE Lighting in Deutschland. Er verantwortet den Bereich für Straßen- und Außenbeleuchtung. Dabei umfassen seine Aufgaben unter anderem den Aufbau des neuen Geschäftsbereiches im Rahmen der strategischen Neuausrichtung und Fokussierung von GE Lighting auf Deutschland. Dazu gehört insbesondere die Zusammenstellung und Leitung des neuen Vertriebsteams. Schacht berichtet direkt an Frank Weiss, General Manager GE Lighting in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz (DACH).

그동안 LED 조명은 에너지 효율이 높은데 반해 광도가 낮아, 밝은 조명을 필요로 하는 장소에서 사용하는 할로겐 램프를 대체하는데 어려움이 있었다. 한편, 할로겐 램프는 에너지 효율이 낮고 높은 열이 발생해 실내 온도를 높이며, 물건이 변색되는 단점이 지적되어왔다. 이러한 할로겐 램프의 단점을 보완하면서 그 장점을 살린 'GE LED MR16'이 출시됨에 따라, 앞으로 LED조명이 더욱 광범위하게 활용될 전망이다.
