GEヘルスケアグループ（以下「GEヘルスケア」）の世界中核拠点の1つであるGEヘルスケア・ジャパン株式会社（本社：東京都日野市、代表取締役社長：熊谷昭彦）は本日2月3日（木）、乳房内の血管を鮮明に描出するデジタルマンモグラフィ（乳房X線撮影装置）用の新撮影技術「SenoBright（セノブライト）」を、国内の医療機関向けに提供開始します。
SenoBrightは、造影剤（ヨード造影剤）と2つの異なるエネルギー値での撮影技術を駆使して、新生血管など乳房内の血管を鮮明に描出するGEの独自技術。これまでのマンモグラフィ検査の課題となっていた日本人などアジア圏に多いと言われる乳腺密度の高い乳房や左右の乳房で非対称な部位を、濃染で鮮明に描出可能なため、乳がんの存在診断や広がり診断などへの有用性、早期発見・早期治療への貢献など乳がん患者のQOLを大きく向上すると期待されています（4ページの画像参照）。
