Barrington, IL -- April 15, 2014 -- GE Healthcare announced today it has completed the acquisition of CHCA Computer Systems Inc., an operating room (OR) management and analytics solutions provider, headquartered in Montreal, Canada. CHCA develops the leading Opera software application, which has helped increase productivity and patient satisfaction in the OR by providing real-time data to support the decision making and management of surgical procedures.
The GEnx jet engine is so powerful that five of them together can produce the same thrust at sea level as one Space Shuttle rocket engine.
It takes just two to lift a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and Air France-KLM will use these engines on a fleet of 37 new Dreamliner jets. The airline will own 25 of the planes and lease the rest. The value of the engine order tops $1.7 billion.
Prototype device testing shows that GE's RF MEMS switch can help enable increased data transfer speeds, enhanced signal quality, longer battery life, and the advanced RF designs required of LTE-Advanced devices.
