Doha, Qatar; March 5, 2009: In the first-ever Middle East edition of GE's Oil & Gas University Programme, an initiative aimed at providing training on leadership and technology disciplines for oil and gas professionals in Doha and Abu Dhabi. Graduation ceremonies were held in both cities, with 37 and 31 professionals receiving certificates in Doha and Abu Dhabi, respectively.

GE能源集团将为位于宁波的浙江浙能集团镇海电厂两台GE 9FA燃气轮机提供定期检测及服务。镇海电厂是浙江最大的燃气轮机联合循环电厂，电出力达795.6兆瓦。
GE还同位于泉州的福建石化集团签署了长期合约式服务协议（CSA），为两台GE 9E燃气轮机提供备件，维修及相关服务。这是GE在中国签署的第一个针对9E燃气轮机的该类协议。福建石化运用整体气化联合循环技术，利用炼油过程中产生的废气发电。福建石化是中国石油化工行业最大的合资企业，其炼油厂每年生产能力约四百万吨。
这两个合约式服务协议的签署有效的保证了GE 9FA和9E燃机的安全可靠运行，同时可通过有计划的定期维修来避免意外故障发生。

The drilling campaign has the potential to significantly increase Brazil's oil discoveries.
