Dubai, UAE, February 7, 2006: GE confirmed its ongoing commitment to bring to market new technologies that help its customers meet pressing environmental challenges at this year's United Nations Environmental Program - Environmentally Sound Technologies exhibition in Dubai.

"GE와의 파트너십을 재개하게 되어 매우 기쁘다"며 "새로운 엔진이 보유한 비용상의 이점은 물론, 이미 입증된 GE의 신뢰성과 효율성은 대한항공이 그 동안 모색했던 훌륭한 엔진공급업체의 요구 조건을 정확하게 충족하고 있다"고 대항항공 조 양호 회장은 말했다. 이번 대한항공의 선정으로, GEnx엔진은 현재까지, 발주가 확정된 보잉 747항공기 94대분의 동력을 책임지게 된다. 이로써 신형 GEnx엔진은 모두 220대를 상회하는 항공기의 동력을 책임지게 되었다.
