美国俄亥俄州West Chester - 2016年5月19日 - 全球第三大飞机租赁公司SMBC航空租赁公司（SMBC Aviation Capital）宣布为其增订的5架空客A320neo飞机订购10台CFM国际公司的LEAP-1A发动机。该发动机订单价值按目录价格达1.4亿美元。

该订单是SMBC航空租赁公司于2015年6月巴黎航展期间宣布的60台LEAP-1A发动机的后续订单，飞机则为2014年空客订单的一部分。

总部设在都柏林的SMBC航空租赁公司是CFM的长期客户，目前拥有在役或已订购的以CFM56和LEAP发动机为动力的350架飞机的机队。

“我们很高兴看到LEAP-1A发动机在其地面及试飞项目中的表现，”SMBC航空租赁公司首席执行官彼特. 巴瑞特（Peter Barret）表示。“该发动机正按预期为用户提供他们所期待的CFM的可靠性表现，我们渴望着将他们引入我们的机队。”
