UltraScan™ Duo Pipeline Inspection Tool Uses Sensors Developed by GE Healthcare
CALGARY, Alberta--06 April 2009-- GE Oil & Gas' PII Pipeline Solutions group is completing its largest pipeline inspection project by helping TransCanada evaluate the condition of an 864-kilometer (537 mile) portion of a natural gas pipeline in Canada. This part of the pipeline, which covers a span equivalent to the distance between Paris and Berlin, needed to be inspected prior to being converted to carry crude oil as part of the Keystone Oil Pipeline.

ABU DHABI, UAE--06 April 2009-- GE Energy today announced a multi-year contractual service agreement (CSA) with Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) as it nears completion of what will become the world's largest single-site aluminum smelter complex. The CSA will support EMAL's recent investment in GE gas turbines and the long-term productivity and efficiency of the turbines.
