GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and Bechtel Form Decommissioning Alliance

WILMINGTON, North Carolina-March 22, 2017-GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and Bechtel today announced the formation of an alliance to offer decommissioning and dismantlement services for nuclear power plants in Germany and Sweden.

The two companies have more than 100 years of combined nuclear industry experience and through the alliance will provide a full range of decommissioning services including pre-shutdown planning, licensing, project development and management, dismantling, demolition, waste handling, and site closeout.

GE Healthcare Statement on EMA's Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee's Recommendations on Gadolinium Contrast Agents

The Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended the suspension of the European marketing authorizations for four linear gadolinium contrast agents (GdCAs) because of the presence of small amounts of gadolinium in the brain. No harm linked to gadolinium in the brain has been reported.

Limited (CPHGC) 1,320 megawatt (MW) Power Plant in District Hub, Balochistan, Pakistan. CPHGC is a joint venture of China Power International Holdings Limited (CPIH) with Pakistan’s Hub Power Company (HUBCO).
