Delta Air Lines Places CFM56-7BE Engine Order to Power 100 Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER Aircraft

WEST CHESTER, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Delta Air Lines today announced that it has ordered 200 CFM56-7BE engines to power 100 Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER aircraft scheduled to begin delivery in 2013. The engine order is valued at approximately $2.2 billion U.S. at list price.

This new Delta order contributes to what has already been a very successful year for CFM. In 2011 to date, the company has received orders for more than 1,250 CFM56 engines at a value of approximately $12.5 billion U.S. at list price.

Cebu Pacific Expands CFM56-5B-Powered Airbus Fleet with $155 Million Engine Order

LE BOURGET, France --- June 16 2009 --- Cebu Pacific has selected CFM International's CFM56-5B engine to power 10 new Airbus A320 aircraft in a firm engine order valued at approximately $155 million U.S., including spare engines. The airline is scheduled to take its first aircraft in October 2010, with deliveries continuing through November 2013.

Cebu Pacific (CEB) took delivery of its first CFM-powered Airbus A320 in 2005. Today, the airline operates a fleet of 21 A319/A320 aircraft, 100% powered by CFM56-5B engines.

Atlantic Airways Orders CFM56-5B-powered Airbus A319

LE BOURGET, France --- June 15, 2008 --- Atlantic Airways, the national airline of the Faroe Islands, has selected the CFM56-5B engine to power the Airbus A319 the airline ordered in 2008. Atlantic Airways placed a firm order with CFM on the first day of the 2009 Le Bourget Air Show. The airline is scheduled to take delivery in 2011.

Saudi Arabian Airlines Expands CFM56-5B-Powered Fleet With New $300 Million Engine Order

FARNBOROUGH, England--14 July 2008-- Saudi Arabian Airlines today announced that it has again selected the CFM56-5B engine to power 22 new Airbus A320 family aircraft. The order is valued at approximately $300 million at list price. This is in addition to previously selecting 20 leased Airbus A320s, also powered by CFM56-5B engines The airline will begin taking delivery of new aircraft in 2009.

China Southern Chooses CFM56-5B to Power New A320 Aircraft

FARNBOROUGH, England--14 July 2008-- China Southern Airlines today announced that it has selected CFM56-5B engines to power a new fleet of 20 Airbus A320 family aircraft, and back the engine purchase with a long-term material services agreement.

CFM56-5B engines are a product of CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between Snecma (SAFRAN Group) and General Electric Company.
