June 13, 2005 -- LE BOURGET - Less than a year after the GE Rolls-Royce Fighter Engine Team tested its F136 engine for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), the team has achieved several milestones - including completion of all pre-System Development & Demonstration (SDD) testing ahead of schedule and under budget. Successful completion of pre-SDD testing clears the way for the award of a SDD contract, which is expected in August.
June 13, 2005 -- LE BOURGET - Development tests continue on the Engine Alliance's GP7200 engine, which will power the Airbus A380 aircraft.
"We are very pleased with the performance of the engine," said Bruce Hughes, president of the Engine Alliance. "To date, eight development engines have accumulated more than 4,000 cycles and 1,750 hours of operations. We remain on schedule for engine certification with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in October."

June 08, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - General Electric Company's Aircraft Engines business expects revenues in 2005 to reach a record $13 billion.
The record revenues are being driven by stronger commercial engine deliveries, higher utilization of GE- and CFM-powered commercial aircraft in airline service, and higher utilization of GE military engines worldwide.
This year's growth follows a strong 2004 financial year for the Aircraft Engines business, when revenues grew to $12.55 billion, up from $10.97 billion in 2003.

May 24, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - GoJet Airlines will become the first U.S. operator of the CF34-8C5B1 engine on the Bombardier CRJ700 when it takes delivery of its first aircraft in June.
The CF34-8C5B1 is a common engine configuration for both the Bombardier CRJ700 and CRJ900* aircraft and Bombardier selected it to become the production standard engine for the CRJ700 model. The engine was certified on the aircraft earlier this month.
