ALAFCO Signs $300 million GEnx deal

Paris, June 15, 2005: ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company K.S.C.C. (Kuwait-based shareholding closed company) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the purchase of 12 firm, six option Airbus A350 aircraft powered by General Electric Company's Genx engine.

The GEnx engines for the firm 12 A350s are valued at more than $300 million. Under the terms of the agreement, delivery of the aircraft, a combination of A350-800 and A350-900 models, is scheduled to begin in 2012.

CFM Logs $600 Million CFM56-7B Engine Orders

June 14, 2005 -- LE BOURGET - CFM International (CFM) today has logged orders for a total of 120 firm CFM56-7B engine at a value of $600 million.
Jet Airways today announced an order for 10 Boeing 737-800s powered by the CFM56-7B; GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has ordered 20 737s; and International Lease Finance Corporation has also announced an order for 20 CFM56-7B-powered 737-700/-800s.
CFM is a 50/50 joint company between Snecma and General Electric Company.

Korean Air Selects GP7200 for A380 Fleet in $300 Million Deal

June 14, 2005

June 14, 2005 -- LE BOURGET - Korean Air has selected the Engine Alliance GP7200 to power the airline's new fleet of Airbus A380 super jumbo aircraft. Korean Air ordered 23 engines for the five firm A380s on order and 13 engines for the three option aircraft. The value of the firm orders is approximately $300M. If the options are exercised, they would be worth an additional $170 million. This order gives the Engine Alliance a 58 percent order share on the A380s for which engines have been selected; the total 320 engines on firm order have a value of $4.1B.
