U.S. Army Aviation Selects GE for Integrated Corrosion Monitoring Solution

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE Aviation was selected by the US Army to partner with Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) to research, develop and apply the technology behind an integrated corrosion health monitoring system (I-CHMS) for rotorcraft fleets. The contract is valued at $2 million and will cover a 2-year span of rotorcraft research and monitoring.

西气东输管道建设进程比计划大大超前

20081124-在具有里程碑意义的西气东输管道增输工程在建的最后4座压缩站中,GE油气集团最近比计划超前完成了2座,在即将到来的严冬之前,增加了对上海的天然气供应。

延川站燃气轮机驱动的压缩机首次点火于1月11日实现,比计划提前2个多月。整个工程仅在3个多月内完成,速度比上一次管道安装快46%,为GE油气集团创造了一个新纪录。延川站增加了管道最后一段的流量和压力。

GE油气集团设备部总经理Joe Mastrangelo表示:"我们之所以能够创造这一记录,得益于几个关键因素,其中包括我们与客户之间密切的合作关系,现场的精益安装举措,供应商的车间中进行的预安装,大量的现场服务工程师,以及通过先前的项目获得的经验教训。"

PRINCETON, NJ, NOV. 21, 2008---A first-ever 208-person study comparing the renal safety, occurrence of cardiovascular adverse events and diagnostic image quality of GE Healthcare's isosmolar contrast media (CM) iodixanol (VisipaqueTM) and the low-osmolar CM iopromide in select patients concluded iodixanol is associated with lower incidence of contrast-induced neuropathy (CIN) and cardiovascular events (CV) than iopromide, when used in patients with chronic kidney disease.

CHALFONT ST GILES, United Kingdom & BUDAPEST, Hungary--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A major new collaborative research programme to transform the care of elderly citizens was announced in Hungary today. A broad consortium of private and public sector organisations, led by GE Healthcare, a unit of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), has secured HUF 895 million (US $4.2 million) from the Hungarian government to research and develop new ways of monitoring the health of elderly citizens in their own homes. GE Healthcare will invest an additional HUF 238 million (US $1.1 million) in the programme.
