September 30, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) has selected General Electric Company's GEnx jet engine to power its fleet of 10 new Boeing 787 aircraft.
The engine order is valued at more than $250 million and represents General Electric Company's first GEnx order with a U.S.-based airline. Aircraft deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2009.

September 27, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Bradley D. Mottier has been named president and chief executive officer of GE Engine Services within GE Transportation, Aircraft Engines. Mottier replaces Dan Heintzelman, who will assume the role of vice president of Energy Services for GE Energy.
Since 2002, Mottier has served as president and chief executive officer of Unison Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aircraft Engines' Engine Services operation. Mottier joined GE in 2002, when GE acquired Unison Industries.

September 14, 2005 -- EVENDALE, Ohio - Qatar Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with General Electric Company for the GEnx engine to power the airline's new fleet 60 Airbus A350 aircraft.
The GEnx order from Qatar Airways is valued at more than $1.6 billion, and represents the largest single order for GE's newest engine under development.

September 02, 2005 -- NARITA CITY, JAPAN - General Electric congratulates Japan Airlines (JAL) on the completion of its first GE90 engine overhaul at JAL's GE90 Center of Excellence (CoE) facility at the Narita International Airport in Narita City, Japan.
JAL opened the GE90 CoE in 2004 as a regional provider of overhaul, maintenance and repair for GE90 engines. This engine is the first GE90 overhauled in Asia. As the Boeing 777 fleet expands, the number of GE90 engines being serviced at JAL's GE90 CoE is expected to grow.

Since its inaugural flight between Japan and the U.S. in 1985, NCA has been the only air-cargo-transport company in Japan. The company has steadily increased its number of aircraft and enhanced its transport performance.
