GE Oil & Gas to Supply Compression Units, Services for Three Pipeline Stations in Italy

FLORENCE, ITALY (May 20, 2003) --- GE Oil & Gas has signed a contract with Snam Rete Gas to supply three new compression units and services for three compression stations (Gallese, Tarsia and Melizzano) that are part of the Snam Rete Gas nationwide gas pipeline network in Italy.
Under the contract, valued at US$43 million, the first unit is scheduled to be shipped in the first quarter of 2004, with commercial operation set to begin during the third quarter of that year. The equipment will be manufactured at the GE Oil & Gas facility in Florence, Italy.

GE Supplying 315 Wind Turbines to FPL Energy for Projects in Five States

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (May 14, 2003) --- GE Power Systems announced today that it will supply 315 wind turbines, representing more than 470 megawatts of power, to FPL Energy for projects across the U.S. that are expected to begin producing electricity later this year.
The wind turbines will be used by FPL Energy, a subsidiary of FPL Group Inc. (NYSE:FPL) and the nation's largest wind energy producer, for new projects near House, New Mexico, Woodward, Oklahoma, Highmore, South Dakota, Kulm and Edgeley, North Dakota and Waymart, Pennsylvania.
