Application approved by TUV for applications requiring handling of safe and unsafe data in the same process controller
Echternach, Luxembourg, June 04, 2009 GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions, today announced that GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms' PAC8000 SafetyNet has been approved by TUV for applications requiring the handling of safety and process control data in the same controller. In addition, the availability of a new 24V DC power supply extends the locations where SafetyNet systems can be implemented.

COLOGNE, GERMANY---May 27, 2009---GE Energy's HEAT* (High Efficiency, Advanced Technology) steam turbine, designed to improve the efficiency and environmental performance of power plants, has been approved for addition to the ecomagination product portfolio after completing GE's rigorous ecomagination product review (EPR) process.
Gothenburg Energy to Install 90,000 GE Smart Meters
COLOGNE, Germany--27 May 2009-- To provide consumers with information to better manage utility costs, Gothenburg Energy has ordered and will deploy 90,000 GE smart meters.
The project will meet a Swedish government mandate, which requires all utilities to have an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) in place by June 1, 2009. The new meters will provide the utility with real-time data access.
