  • ガス火力発電を併用した再生可能エネルギー発電、および石炭からガスへの転換を継続することが、早期にCO2排出量を削減する上で最も効果的で現実的な手段。
  • 水素やCO2回収技術なども活用し、ガス火力発電は低炭素排出（またはゼロカーボン）への重要な役割を果たす。
  • ユニパー（Uniper：ドイツ電力大手）およびロングリッジ発電所（Long Ridge Energy Center：米国オハイオ州）との新規契約は、脱炭素化におけるガス発電の役割を明確に提示。

WILMINGTON, North Carolina—February 11, 2021—GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) today announced the formation of GEH SMR Technologies Canada, Ltd. to support the deployment of the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) in Canada. 

Lisa McBride has been named Country Leader, Small Modular Reactors. In this role she will collaborate with Canadian customers, stakeholders, suppliers and partners in GEH’s pursuit to bring the first grid-scale SMR to market by 2028.
