CHICAGO, IL – December 20, 2019 - GE Healthcare is issuing a voluntary field action for certain CARESCAPE Respiratory Modules and Airway Gas Options and their respective service exchange units and field replaceable units that are used with certain GE Healthcare monitors, anesthesia and respiratory devices. The company is taking this action after internally identifying approximately 800 products of which a small number may have had a soldering step omitted during the manufacturing process.

As part of the action, hospitals are receiving materials that reinforce instructions provided in the user manuals for these systems. Hospitals can continue to use these systems by following these instructions.

Affidea and GE Healthcare sign a $100 million technology partnership agreement for innovative imaging fleet, digital workflow solutions and contrast media

Buc, France – December 2, 2019 – GE Healthcare and Affidea, the pan-European leader in advanced diagnostic imaging, outpatient and cancer care services, have signed a multi-year agreement to deploy imaging and digital technologies across the Affidea network.

GE Healthcare will install 200+ new equipment in Affidea’s network of centers across Europe. The deal includes the provision of 60 new MRIs, 50 ultrasound devices, 40 CT scanners and 30 X-rays machines in the next 3 years. It also includes a six-year service contract.
