FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 2004--The Board of Directors of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) today authorized a regular quarterly dividend of $0.20 per outstanding share of the Company's common stock. The dividend is payable Oct. 25, 2004 to shareowners of record at the close of business on Sept. 27. The ex-dividend date is Sept. 23.
