中国上海，2006 年 4 月 26日 － 新建的上海南站气势恢弘，在同类建筑中，它拥有世界上最大的圆形透光屋顶，这个屋顶所使用的建筑材料正是由 GE 塑料集团生产的、透明坚韧的 Lexan力显* 聚碳酸酯 (PC) 板材。
这项伟大的工程是 GE塑料集团 迄今为止收到的最大的 Lexan力显板材单宗订单。而该项目的成功使得南站建设者又选择了GE公司另一种Lexan力显板材，Lexan力显Thermoclear*中空板，来装配上海南站站台8700平方米面积的顶篷结构。在正在上海进行的中国橡塑展期间，GE塑料集团宣布，使用该Lexan力显Thermocelar中空板材可以完全满足由6部分组成的上海南站站台顶篷结构的严格要求，包括绝佳的坚韧性、耐候性、透光性以及抗冲击性。
