中国，北京 - 2010年9月28日--- GE与哈尔滨电气集团公司（以下简称哈电集团）的下属企业，哈尔滨电机厂有限责任公司（以下简称哈电机）今日宣布成立新的合资公司，主要为中国市场开发制造风力发电机组, 帮助双方在中国价值130亿美金的风能市场上赢得更多竞争优势。双方的股权比例为哈动力51%，GE49%。同时，为进一步加强合作紧密性，哈电机公司将购买GE沈阳风机厂49%的股份，使得双方在风电业务上成为全方位的合作伙伴。
中国目前电力需求的年增速为12%，并已成为世界上最大的风电市场，且预计会保持快速扩张态势。2009年，中国的风电总装机容量已达2500万千瓦，中国政府计划到2020年将这一数字增长6倍， 达到1.5亿千瓦。可以预见，在陆上风电装机保持强劲增长的同时，中国的海上风电也将在未来2-3年迎来良好发展机遇。
