Reliability and whole life costs head company car table

Research from GE Capital’s latest Company Car Trends research

Sale, Manchester, 2015: Reliability, whole life costs and CO2 emissions head the list of factors considered essential by company car operators when setting fleet policies, according to the latest quarterly Company Car Trends research from GE Capital Fleet Services.

Topping the list for more than half (53%) of the respondents questioned was reliability, although almost as many (48%) opted for whole life costs.

Avolon selects CFM LEAP-1A to power A320neo

LE BOURGET - 17 June 2015 - CFM International today announced that Dublin, Ireland based aircraft leasing company Avolon selected CFM International's LEAP-1A engine to power 20 new Airbus A320neo aircraft. The engine order is valued at $590 million U.S. at list price.

Avolon has been a CFM customer since its launch in 2010 and has a committed fleet of 161 CFM-powered aircraft.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) selected GE Aviation’s Flight Efficiency Services (FES) for fuel management.

In addition to providing Flight Data Management (FDM) and Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) services through GE’s Flight Risk Management, GE Aviation’s Flight Analytics System will deliver their Fuel Management Solution, which will include the evaluation and analysis of flight and operational data to identify and prioritize fuel savings opportunities and enable a platform for fuel management analytics.

SMBC Aviation Capital orders LEAP-1B engines for additional Boeing aircraft

LE BOURGET - 16 June 2015 -SMBC Aviation Capital, the world’s third largest aircraft lessors, today announced an order for CFM International’s LEAP-1B engines to power 10 additional Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, a purchase also announced today. This follows an order it placed in late 2014 for 160 LEAP-1B engines. This newest order is valued at $270 million U.S. at list price.
