GE and ZKMK Extend Services Partnership to Include Manufacturing, Increasing Access to GE-10 Gas Turbine Advanced Technology

ASTANA, Kazakhstan--10 November 2010-- Following an agreement signed in July for the servicing of GE's fleet of oil and gas turbomachinery equipment installed in the Republic of Kazakhstan, GE Oil & Gas and JSC ZKMK today announce the formation of a technology transfer and licensing partnership that will enable ZKMK to manufacture GE-10 advanced technology gas turbines in Kazakhstan.

Niskayuna / MÜNCHEN, 04. November 2010 --- GE hat die Leistungsstärke von Licht emittierenden Dioden (LED) entscheidend verbessert. Kürzlich stellte das Unternehmen einen LED-Prototypen vor, der mit einer Lichtstärke von 1.500 Lumen genauso hell wie eine Standard-100-Watt-Halogenlampe leuchtet. Zum Vergleich: Aktuelle Standard-LEDs strahlen mit 350 Lumen. Der Protyp benötigt für diese Lichtkraft im Vergleich zur Halogenlampe lediglich ein Drittel der Energie.
