2008年11月24日－在具有里程碑意义的西气东输管道增输工程在建的最后4座压缩站中，GE油气集团最近比计划超前完成了2座，在即将到来的严冬之前，增加了对上海的天然气供应。
延川站燃气轮机驱动的压缩机首次点火于1月11日实现，比计划提前2个多月。整个工程仅在3个多月内完成，速度比上一次管道安装快46%，为GE油气集团创造了一个新纪录。延川站增加了管道最后一段的流量和压力。
