GE Capital Supports U.S. Growth of Rugged Ural Sidecar Motorcycles

CHICAGO, IL --- GE Capital's Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) business announced today that it will provide inventory financing to dealerships that carry Ural Motorcycles, distributed by Irbit Motorworks of America, Inc., based in Redmond, WA.

Made in the Siberian town of Irbit near the Ural Mountains of Russia, the motorcycles are easily recognizable due to their sidecars and heavy-duty construction designed for use on rough roads. Since its start in the 1940s, the company has produced more than 3.2 million motorcycles.

Van-Rob, a leading global Tier One automotive parts manufacturer, will use the proceeds to refinance an existing term loan, support capital expenditure needs, provide working capital, and for other general corporate purposes. GE Capital, Canada also served as lead arranger of the lenders' syndicate.

SHANNON, Ireland, June 13, 2013 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced it has delivered seven new leased Boeing 737-800s to Scandinavian Airline Systems (SAS) to expand and modernize the carrier's fleet.

The aircraft were delivered during the period April 2012 to May 2013 and came from GECAS' existing order book with Boeing. Additionally, GECAS is scheduled to deliver two new leased 737-800s to SAS in 2014.

Immelt also announced that GE Capital CFO Jeff Bornstein will succeed Sherin as CFO of GE. The appointments are effective July 1, 2013.
