GE Healthcare completes acquisition of Finnamore to form leading UK specialist health and social care consultancy

January 8, 2014, Chalfont St Giles, UK -- GE Healthcare, a unit of GE (NYSE: GE), announced today that it has acquired Finnamore, one of the leading dedicated health and social care consultancies in the UK. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will see GE Healthcare's UK consultancy arm, formerly Performance Solutions UK, become GE Healthcare Finnamore, expanding its employee base to 70, many of whom are former clinicians, engineers and management consultants. The new firm will be led by John Deverill, formerly Managing Director of Finnamore.

Starwood Energy Group Closes Financing with GE, Citibank, and Santander on its 211-Mw Stephens Ranch Wind Project in Texas

GREENWICH, Conn., Jan. 7, 2014 - Starwood Energy Group Global, LLC, a leading private investment firm focused on energy infrastructure, announced today that an affiliate has completed agreements to finance and construct its first wind farm, a 211 Megawatt (MW) project 45 miles south of Lubbock, Texas.

The Stephens Ranch project, which represents the first of two phases that will total 377 MW, will use GE 1.7-100 turbines and be built by Wanzek Construction, with completion scheduled for late 2014.

The credit facilities will recapitalize the company and provide additional funds for growth initiatives. GE Capital Markets served as sole bookrunner and sole lead arranger on the transactions.
