After Hours 'Doc in a Box' for Kids

In July 2011, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Children's Hospital tried something we'd never done before---opening an After Hours Care (AHC) center for children that is open nights and weekends, 365 days per year, with nearly the same capabilities as a doctor's office. These centers bring health care closer to people living in the suburbs, making it more convenient for them and expanding our commitment in a competitive market.
