Kuwait, March 15, 2005: In a ceremony attended by more than 400 people, which included representatives from the highest level of the Kuwaiti Government, GE Infrastructure's Water & Process Technologies business helped dedicate the world's largest membrane based wastewater filtration project and the company's first major water project in the Middle East.
March 15, 2005 -- GE Transportation's marine gas turbine business, at its Evendale, Ohio facility, manufactured all the LM aeroderivative gas turbines for the following projects. The LM gas turbine-generator sets were built and sold by GE Energy, headquartered in Houston, Texas.
To date, 22 LM2500+ and four LM2500 GE gas turbine-generator sets are in operation or slated for service on 17 cruise ships.
