June 16, 2005 -- LE BOURGET - During the 2005 Paris Air Show, CFM International logged orders for 218 new CFM56 engines at a combined value of $1.3 billion. The company had received 594 engine orders though May of this year; that total now stands at 812.
CFM56 engines are produced by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between Snecma and General Electric Company. CFM is the world's leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines, with more than 15,000 delivered to date.

June 16, 2005 -- LE BOURGET - Air Europa today announced an order for 18 firm, 12 option Boeing 737-800 aircraft powered by CFM56-7B engines. The firm engine order is valued about $220 million.

Jet Airways today announced an order for 10 Boeing 737-800s powered by the CFM56-7B; GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has ordered 20 737s; and International Lease Finance Corporation has also announced an order for 20 CFM56-7B-powered 737-700/-800s.

June 14, 2005 -- LE BOURGET - Korean Air has selected the Engine Alliance GP7200 to power the airline's new fleet of Airbus A380 super jumbo aircraft. Korean Air ordered 23 engines for the five firm A380s on order and 13 engines for the three option aircraft. The value of the firm orders is approximately $300M. If the options are exercised, they would be worth an additional $170 million. This order gives the Engine Alliance a 58 percent order share on the A380s for which engines have been selected; the total 320 engines on firm order have a value of $4.1B.
