Dubai, May 30, 2004: GE Energy has opened a new regional Center Of Excellence (COE) at the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ), which was today inaugurated by Jamal Majid bin Thaniah, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Ports Authority. GE Energy's rental business is the temporary and portable power unit of GE Energy, a US$19 billion global business specializing in power generation and energy delivery technology.
Dubai, April 14, 2004: The Appliance division of GE Consumer and Industrial recently held a series of regional service seminars in key Middle East locations, including the UAE, to train more than 150 service managers and technicians from across the region. Service specialists, specializing in the maintenance and repair of GE appliances, had the opportunity to benefit from a two-day seminar, held in Dubai, focusing on advanced service techniques for GE's latest product range.

Dubai, December 8, 2003: -- Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, has selected the GE-P&W Engine Alliance GP7200 engine to power the airline's follow-on order for 23 Airbus A380 aircraft.
The contract award calls for the GE-PW Engine Alliance to supply 92 installed and 9 spare GP7200 engines to power a fleet of 21 A380s purchased by Emirates, as well as two A380 aircraft leased from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC). The delivery of these A380 aircraft, which will be configured for 550 passengers, begins in 2009.
Dubai, December 8, 2003: -- To expand the engine repair and technical support capabilities for one of the world's award-winning and fastest growing airlines, GE Aircraft Engines (GEAE) and Emirates have reached an agreement for GEAE to design and construct an advanced jet engine test facility for Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline.
The commitment reflects GEAE's growing cooperation with Emirates and Dubai.
