Mumbai, May 30, 2006 -- General Electric Company Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt today announced a US$250 million investment in infrastructure and healthcare projects in India and said that GE intends to dramatically expand its industrial and financial presence in the country.

Conceptualised by JWT, the TV commercial for GE Money personal loans features children to demonstrate simplicity, ease and innovation, with the core message being that GE Money is a Can-do brand that has the ability to say "Yes" to people in need, even when others are saying 'No'.
Sets up $145 million India Development Fund
New Delhi, Thursday, November 10, 2005: To support its commitment to India, GE recently established the India Development Fund. The fund is part of GE's strategy to more than triple its revenues in India in 3 years - from US$ 0.8 billion in 2004 to US$ 3 billion by 2008.
Mumbai, November 3, 2005 - India's new regional carrier, Paramount Airways, has signed a new OnPointSM Solutions service agreement with GE Engine Services, Inc. for the maintenance, overhaul and repair of CF34-8E engines powering the airline's fleet of Embraer 170/175 aircraft. The nine-year agreement is valued at approximately $12 million.
Mumbai, October 28, 2005 - Jet Airways has ordered GE90-115B engines to power its 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in an engine order valued at more than $400 million (USD).
2005 has been an outstanding year for GE90 engine orders. This year, more than 100 GE90 engines have been ordered for eight customers. The value of these engine orders is nearly $2 billion.
