Dubai, UAE; 25 August, 2009: GE Energy has signed a multi-year service contract for more than US$45 million with Dubai Aluminium Company Limited (DUBAL), one of the world's largest producers of premium quality aluminum. The agreement is designed to reduce the cost of aluminum production while maximizing the reliability and overall performance of 19 GE gas turbines that power the DUBAL production complex.

EAST HARTFORD, CT -- August 24, 2009 -- The Engine Alliance's GP7200 engine has marked a successful first year in service with Emirates. Since entering service in August 2008, the GP7200-powered Airbus A380 has had no in-flight shutdowns, and the engine has demonstrated a departure reliability rate greater than 99.9%.

Independent researchers conduct fuel test of GE and EMD model locomotives
Cairo, Egypt (July 8, 2009) - GE Transportation announced the results of a head-to-head fuel test in the United States between GE's Evolution® ES44AC and EMD's SD70ACe Tier 2 emissions-compliant locomotives. According to an independent research study GE's locomotives are over 6% more fuel-efficient compared to their EMD counterparts.

A milestone in a strategically important new water supply that will help alleviate a severe water shortage in Jordan's capital and surrounding area has been reached with funding of construction of a pipeline project by GAMA Energy A.S., a joint venture between GAMA Holding A.S. and GE (NYSE:GE) unit GE Energy Financial Services.
