A light shining in the fog

September 17, 2013
Breast cancer is one of the biggest killers in Australia, being the cause of 10.1% of all cancer deaths. Its diagnosis can be a long and stressful process for patients.
Developed by GE, the Contrast Enhance Spectral mammography called SenoBright, is quicker than the standard test and can be completed in under ten minutes. Using iodine to highlight blood vessels produced by cancer cells, SenoBright is able to detect legions more easily than in a standard mammogram.

This new technology allows radiologists to feel more confident, alleviate uncertainty - regardless of the diagnosis and providing relief to patients.
