Wayne to Supply CNG Dispensers at Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games

February 10, 2014

Wayne Global Star™ CNG X11-11 fuel Dispenser Displayed at Sochi, Russia Pilot Fueling Site

AUSTIN, TEXAS and SOCHI, RUSSIA ---February 10, 2013---Wayne, A GE Business (NYSE: GE) and a global innovator of fuel dispensers and forecourt technologies, today announced it has been selected to supply compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel dispensers for the first fuel retail site at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Wayne was selected to provide CNG dispensers that will serve fleet and passenger vehicles, as well as buses transporting athletes and spectators. The Wayne Global Star™ CNG X11-11 fuel dispenser was displayed during a ceremony at the fueling site for the Sochi Games.

At roughly half the cost of gasoline and diesel fuels, CNG represents an attractive, cleaner-burning alternative to traditional fuels for vehicles. Russia holds the largest natural gas reserves in the world1, and government officials have recommended a CNG fueling option at all fuel retail sites in the country, with the Olympic site in Sochi as a pioneer location.

Wayne has previously delivered fueling technology and equipment for the Olympics. Two years ago the Wayne Helix™ fuel dispenser was the official fuel dispenser of BP's "Fuelling the Future" Showcase in London during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"Wayne's rich history of CNG expertise, along with our ability to provide leading technology in durable dispensers built for any climate, have uniquely positioned us to provide environmentally-friendly fuel initiatives for major events such as the Olympic Winter Games," said Neil Thomas, Wayne Global President. "We are very pleased to serve the world's best athletes and fans in Sochi, as we did at the London Olympic Games in 2012."

With more than 400 available configurations, the Wayne Global Star™ V dispenser supports a wide range of forecourt needs. In addition to CNG, Global Star V dispenser supports alternative fuels like E85, LPG, AdBlue, and biodiesel. It is also available with a Vapour Recovery System compliant with Stage II environmental regulatory standards.

"We are proud to support the alternative fueling efforts at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the requisite infrastructure needed for Sochi to deliver cleaner, cost-effective, environmentally friendly fuel solutions," said Andrei Belomestnykh, General Manager, Wayne, Russia and CIS.
