Location-based & GPS services Are Up And Running
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- The long and winding road no longer means drivers are out of touch when they need help.
GE Motor Club, a division of GE Money, has fully integrated telematics into its portfolio of services. GE has redefined advanced roadside assistance by combining location-based services, GPS satellite location tracking and telematics management into its state-of-the-art call centers.
GE Motor Club is a leader in serving the growing demands of the insurance, OEM automotive, wireless and fleet markets with enhanced roadside and telematics services. GE's updated infrastructure and back-office capabilities means current partners and clients can now offer telematics services and features to their customers. Even organizations with existing telematics programs can integrate GE's comprehensive offerings to support their programs.
"Telematics and location-based service capabilities are a natural evolution of most any business serving the mobile marketplace. We are implementing what our customers and their end users need today," said Mamta Bhargava, senior vice president, GE Motor Club. "Understanding needs and technology ensures we continuously manage our program development with a focus on scalability and customer satisfaction."
Earlier this month, GE Motor Club announced a strategic partnership with Networkcar, a leader in wireless vehicle management and subsidiary of Hughes Telematics. The partnership enhances Networkcar's Networkfleet™ program by integrating telematics and advance roadside services. Customers of Networkcar now have automatic vehicle location, stolen vehicle tracking and recovery, towing, locksmith service, battery boost, onsite repair, fuel delivery, and other critical roadside services needed to get their vehicles back on the road. These are all services provided to their customers at no additional cost.
"Working with a partner known for innovation, telematics and having over 30 years in the roadside business just made sense and is a natural fit for us," said Casey Littleton, business development manager for Networkfleet. "Instant location tracking, location-based services, telematics, roadside assistance and stolen vehicle recovery add crucial protection that's needed for drivers and their vehicles in our program."
The enhanced capabilities of GE Motor Club is one of many examples of how GE is using unique partnership approaches and solutions to help their clients better serve their own customers and in turn, grow their businesses, Bhargava said.
"GE is known as a technology and service company," Bhargava said. "Our partnership with Networkcar is a prime example of how we are ready to do business by creating cutting edge solutions that meet the changing needs of the marketplace."
