Target Heats up Product Offerings with GE® and GE Profile™ Microwaves

  • Minneapolis-based Target® Corporation signs contract with GE to begin selling GE® and GE Profile™ countertop microwaves at Target
  • Variety of microwave styles and features sure to delight Target shoppers

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE Appliances & Lighting today announced an agreement with Target to begin supplying the national retail chain with GE® and GE Profile™ microwave ovens

Target is now carrying one GE Profile-branded countertop microwave oven, as well as two GE-branded models that provide fabulous design, innovative features and great value.

  • For the fashionable home cook: The 2.2 cubic-foot, stainless steel GE Profile countertop microwave oven will offer fashion-forward design and the innovative microwave features home cooks have come to expect. Features include auto and time defrost, sensor controls for perfectly timed cooking, inverter controls to prevent overcooked edges, and a warming oven to keep foods warm until they're served. (Model number: JES2251SJ). Available at select Target stores.
  • For the health-conscious shopper: The 1.1-cubic foot GE microwave oven with the MyPyramid healthy foods button is a model exclusive to Target for the retailer's health-conscious shoppers. The MyPyramid feature provides a 12-option button pre-set to perfectly cook vegetables that are also recommended on www.mypyramid.gov as healthy food choices, a site run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). (Model number: JES1145DPWW). Available at Target stores.
  • For the trendy customer: Finally, Target will stock a 1.3 cubic-foot, stainless steel GE countertop microwave oven with bold style features for Target's trendy customer. Rather than a traditional push-button door opener, this stainless-steel appliance will feature a sleek, contoured handle as well as tactile buttons and dial cooking controls. (Model number: JES1344SK). Available at select Target stores.

Both GE--branded models also include auto and time defrost, instant-on and one-touch cooking controls and a turntable.
