Tara DiJulio Named GE’s Vice President of Communications

March 14, 2022

BOSTON—March 14, 2022—GE (NYSE: GE) announced today that Tara DiJulio has been named vice president of communications for GE, effective immediately.

In this role, DiJulio will lead GE’s communications function globally, including external communications and media relations, internal and culture communications, financial communications, public affairs, corporate reputation, and executive communications. DiJulio will report to GE Chief Marketing Officer Linda Boff, who also serves as vice president of learning and culture for GE and president of the GE Foundation.

Boff said, “Tara has earned the deep respect and trust of those she works with both inside and outside GE.  She is a recognized pro at all aspects of communications and her outstanding instincts, strategic counsel, and strong leadership will serve GE well as we enter the exciting next phase of our company’s transformation.”

DiJulio previously served as GE’s senior executive director, global corporate communications, where she led external communications for the company. DiJulio joined GE in 2016 as part of GE Corporate’s global public affairs team, where she partnered across GE’s businesses to drive campaigns and coalitions on key policy priorities and brand reputation issues.

Prior to joining GE, DiJulio spent nearly a decade in the U.S. Senate where she was a chief media strategist and national spokesperson for five U.S. senators, including serving as the communications director for the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She also served on the executive board of the bipartisan U.S. Senate Press Secretaries Association (SPSA) and was elected by her peers to lead the organization as president in 2012.

DiJulio is a visiting fellow at the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School and a member of the National Press Foundation Awards Dinner Committee. She also has served as a volunteer mentor for the Sara Start Fund, which helps young adults transition from foster care to the workforce.

DiJulio is a Southern California native and a graduate of the University of Washington where she received a degree in communications and political science. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two sons.
