President and CEO of GE Power Systems Pledges Continuous Support to Customers in the UAE

Dubai, February 26, 2003 ---- GE Power Systems (GEPS), one of the world's leading suppliers of power generation technology, energy services and energy management systems, has pledged its continuous support to customers across the UAE.

This was the message from John Rice, President and CEO of GEPS, during a visit to the Emirates last week, where he discussed mutual cooperation and strategic opportunities with major customers.

Rice met with GEPS' key UAE customers including Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA), Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA), and Dolphin Energy Co. (DEL).

Commenting on the success of the relationship building meetings, Rice said: "Our meetings serve to enhance the relationship we share with our major customers in the region. We are particularly pleased with the useful feedback, enabling us to sharpen our strategies for the region, and explore additional opportunities to further strengthen our bond with our valued patrons in the public and private sectors."

"By touching base with our customers we have the unique opportunity to consider new areas for growth in the energy sector," continued Rice.
