New technologies that cover 'diagnosis to care'

Dubai, UAE; January 21, 2012: As governments in the Middle East region seek to enhance their healthcare infrastructure, GE Healthcare (NYSE: GE) continues to meet customer needs through innovative technologies that promote patient care, comfort and productivity. At Arab Health 2012, the region's premier healthcare exhibition to be held from Jan. 23 to 26 at the Dubai International Convention Center, GE is showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of 'diagnosis to care' solutions.

GE Healthcare's innovative technologies on display at Arab Health 2012, are tailored to address the pressing healthcare challenges in the region -- especially the rise in incidence of lifestyle diseases. GE Healthcare experts and executives will interact with the attendees, host workshops, demonstrate new technologies and discuss the latest trends in medical imaging and healthcare.

Over several decades, GE Healthcare's 'company to country' approach has been built on regional partnerships to meet local healthcare requirements. Arab Health 2012 is a definitive platform for the medical professionals and the industry in the region, providing GE Healthcare the opportunity to spotlight its advanced technologies, services and solutions.

GE Healthcare's participation at Arab Health 2012 is led by the theme, 'Technologies for Healthier Lives.' GE's accelerated investment in product innovation builds on the company's efforts to enhance care, comfort and usability for patients and providers, as well as productivity for physicians across a wide range of geographical and clinical settings.

Among the products and technologies to be displayed include advanced molecular imaging solutions that will help address cancer care, mammography technologies, maternal-infant care solutions, ultrasound technologies that can be used even in remote places where basic healthcare amenities are non-existent, health information systems that make accessing healthcare data a smoother process, among others.

Now in its 37th year, Arab Health is expected to host over 70,000 healthcare professionals, and will feature over 3,000 companies from around the world. Arab Health, the premier healthcare exhibition will be held from January 23 to 26 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center.
