JOHANNESBURG, MARCH 10, 2010: GE Healthcare, the healthcare business unit of the global technology, media and financial services company General Electric Company (GE), today announced that Neil Boyce has been named Country Manager of its GE Healthcare South Africa operations. The strategic management move reflects GE Healthcare's commitment to strengthening its presence in South Africa.
From his base in Johannesburg, Neil Boyce will play a leading role in driving organic growth in South Africa. He is responsible for developing and expanding customer relationships, as well as executing on a strategy around long-term public and private sector partnerships to help transform healthcare delivery in South Africa.
"South Africa has a dynamic healthcare market that is currently witnessing a strong demand on healthcare infrastructure, technology and expertise," said Richard di Benedetto, GE Healthcare's President and CEO for the Eastern & Africa Growth Markets (EAGM) region. Neil Boyce has extensive experience within the healthcare industry in various roles including Sales at Johnson & Johnson and 10 years at Tyco Healthcare as Sales & Marketing Director for the surgical, medical and imaging business.
