EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio --- Aug. 21, 2013 --- (NYSE:GE) --- A versatile and all-purpose LED lighting solution for a variety of commercial and industrial settings, GE's compact and sleek low bay Albeo™ ALC4-Series is a reduced-maintenance alternative to linear fluorescent lamps.
Offering flexible and customizable options for such qualities as color temperature, color rendering index (CRI), lumen output and light distribution, the platform of the Albeo ALC4-Series fits a wide variety of needs and applications in office, retail, education, health care and light industrial facilities---especially those with task or display areas where optimal color quality (90+ CRI) is important.
The advanced LED lighting system of the ALC4 fixture provides a lumen output range (2,000-15,000 lumens) that matches or exceeds similar linear fluorescent systems but at fewer watts. Additionally, its 77,000-hour lifetime is double most linear fluorescent lamps, significantly reducing the need to replace or maintain such lighting over time.
"The ALC4-Series offers significant flexibility and versatility for a variety of application areas," said Omar Rivera, product manager of industrial luminaires for GE Lighting. "Rather than needing several different fixture types and lamp styles to serve different lighting needs in the same building, the Albeo ALC4-Series LED fixture is an ideal, energy-efficient and low-maintenance solution that can be customized for practically any area.
"This cuts down on the number of different products that need to be maintained or recycled, and it helps standardize setup for the installer."
The Albeo ALC4-Series LED luminaire is available in 4- and 8-foot fixtures that are easily mounted and installed and can be configured with its simple 'plug-and-play' feature that allows for continuous runs of up to 600 feet. It also includes intelligent, integrated controls for motion and daylight sensing, where wireless or wired network controls can be added for increased energy efficiency.
