FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 2004--General Electric has announced the appointment of two new company officers.
Todd Dickinson, 51, is Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at GE Corporate. Todd has more than 25 years of experience as an intellectual property lawyer, most recently as a partner in the law firm of Howrey Simon Arnold & White, where he helped lead the Intellectual Property Practice Group, focusing on counseling, licensing, prosecution, strategic portfolio management and government relations issues involving intellectual property. Todd also served as the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as the principal Executive Branch policy advisor on intellectual property matters. Todd is a graduate of Allegheny College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Mark E.M. Elborne, 46, is Vice President & General Counsel of Employers Reinsurance Corporation, part of GE Insurance. Previously, Mark was a senior partner in the Insurance & Reinsurance Group of CMS Cameron McKenna, based in London. In his 25-year tenure there, Mark was responsible for reinsurance arbitration and litigation for Lloyds' Syndicates and other insurers and reinsurers located in Europe, Middle East, US, Japan and Southeast Asia. Mark also worked extensively with GE, most recently as outside Counsel for all World Trade Center insurance matters outside the US. Mark is a graduate of Exeter University and the College of Law, both based in the UK.
