General Electric Names Four New Officers

FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 2003--General Electric has announced the appointment of four new company officers.
Randy Falco, 49, is Group President of the NBC Television Network. He was appointed to this position in January 2003 after having served as president, NBC Television Network, since July 1998. Randy has also served as COO for the 2002 Winter Olympics and the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. He has won a total of six Emmy Awards for these broadcasts. During his 27-year career at NBC, Randy has overseen the design and creation of the Today show's "Window on the World" studio, MSNBC's state-of-the-art broadcast facility, and the digital conversion of the NBC Television Network. He holds both a B.A. and M.B.A. in Finance as well as an honorary doctorate from Iona College.
Jeff Garwood, 41, is President & CEO of GE Fanuc Automation headquartered in Charlottesville, VA. Jeff first joined GE in 1992 on the corporate business development team at GE's global headquarters. Jeff has taken on various leadership assignments at GE Plastics and GE Corporate. Jeff expanded his leadership skills outside the company from 1999 to 2001 where he assumed chief operating officer roles for Commerx and Youcentric. He rejoined GE Aircraft Engines in 2001 as president of Garrett Aviation Services. Jeff is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of NC State University where he earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He also graduated first in his M.B.A. class at the University of North Carolina.
Stuart Scott, 36, is Vice President and CIO for GE Industrial Systems in Plainville, Connecticut since June 2000. Stuart joined GE Appliances in 1988 on the Edison Engineering Leadership Program. Stuart held IT management positions in Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service and Engineering in GE Appliances before becoming CIO for GE Lighting Europe in July 1997. In October of 1998, Stuart was appointed General Manager & CIO of GE Lighting globally. Stuart earned both his B.Sc. and Masters in Engineering from the University of Louisville. He also holds an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Andrew White, 48, is President, GE Nuclear Energy, serving in this role since January 2003. White joined GE in 1981. He most recently served as General Manager, Installation and Field Services, for GE Energy Services based in Atlanta, GA. Andy began his GE career as an engineer in London, UK and has held various positions within GE Power Systems Products and Services business ranging from leading the Asia Services business to GM of our Global Operation & Maintenance Services. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Bath University in the U.K.
